Troubleshooting Questions for the unit

•  Q: Why can't I burn my images to my DVD-R /DVD-RW CD Media? (It says that I can burn DVD quality images)

A: This device does not support DVD-R/DVD-RW CD formats. Please insert a CD-R/CD-RW disc and try again.

•  Q: Why can't I connect regular audio/video cable to the unit?

A: The unit uses a proprietary cable made specifically for this device.

•  Q: When connecting the device to my television set, I get a blank screen? What could be the problem?

A: It could be 1 of 3 things:

1. Make sure you are switched to the right viewing channel.

2. Make sure audio/video cables are properly connected.

3. Check audio/video cables to see which AV connection it is connected to (i.e. AV1, AV2 etc), then switch TV to the proper channel.

•  Q: The device does not read my memory card correctly? What could be the problem?

A: Please check 3 of the following:

1. Make sure the memory card is inserted correctly.

2. The memory card must be insert label side up. For SM, the gold plate surface faces down.

3. Turn the device on/off and reinsert your memory card.

•  Q: The unit will not eject my CD? What could be the cause?

A: It could be 1 of 3 things:

1. It be performing a process like COPY or MAKE CD. Make sure that the CD indicator is not blinking.

2. In certain operating situations you may not eject the CD, for instance, when viewing the images in full screen mode. During this instance, a “stop sign” appears on the upper-left side of the TV screen. You can press the “RETURN” button to get back to thumbnail screen and then eject the CD.

3. If it is stuck in the tray, using a jumbo paper clip use the “manual eject CD” a small hole which is on the front panel of the device insert the paperclip and press in, the CD will now eject.

•  Q: My CD-R mini disc is stuck in the device. Will this device support it?

A: Yes, this device will support CD-R/CD-RW mini discs also.

•  Q: My slideshow will not play on my DVD player? What could be the problem?

A: Please refer to you DVD's owners manual to see if it will support “Play Back Control” function and CD-R media disks.

•  Q: When powering on the PrimeFoto. My TV flickers? What is the cause?

A: The device is probably in the wrong AV/ TV signal mode. You will need to switch it to the proper mode for the country you are in, USA =NTSC Euro=PAL
